What is Technology Etiquette?

Every single new communications technology we adopt brings with it a new social puzzle. What are appropriate discussion topics when sitting around a cooking fire? Is it acceptable for a gentleman to wear a wristwatch at a formal event? Does every fax need a cover page? When is it ok to send pictures of your private anatomy to your beloved? If we apply empathy, a bit of logic, and game theory to each puzzle, we can more easily discern the most polite way to use each new technology medium. That is the essence of Tech Etiquette.
